IDW Publishing, a comic book publisher that’s been restoring the name of licensed comics as of late with great offerings for TMNT, Ghostbusters, Star Trek, Transformers, G.I. Joe and more, is adding another beloved property to that list: The X-Files.
Agents Mulder and Scully are set to return in comic book form in June 2013, and will continue the story from where X-Files: I Want to Believe left off. The last time they appeared in comics was the IDW/Wildstorm crossover series 30 Days of Night/X-Files in 2009. Previously published through DC’s Wildstorm, the new X-Files comics will be joined by reprinted collections of previous volumes of X-Files comics that ran from 1995 (from the now defunct Topps Comics) through to the DC-era.
