Earning a trip to Atlanta after confounding No. 3 Marquette and No. 1 Indiana with its 2-3 zone defense in the East Region, Syracuse will now tangle with one of the most dynamic offenses in the nation: The Michigan Wolverines.
With point guard Trey Burke leading a Maize attack that also includes Tim Hardaway Jr., Glen Robinson III and Mitch McGary, Syracuse’s vaunted zone will face arguably its stiffest test yet. In the Elite Eight, No. 3 Florida had no answers for the Wolverines playmakers. Perhaps most worryingly for the Orange, Nik Stauskas was 6-6 from the three-point range.
