Taking error message from XML file, amending to script

By jeffs42885

Hello all, I have a question about creating a script that will look for messages on one of our MQ series systems, and fix them.

Currently, if we issue a command for example

Code:

Command.sh errors

it gives us:

Code:

ID:c3e2d840d4f3f3d74040404040404040cb2ef4e62f70f702
04/08/2013 16:09:57.000/report.report1.ZIParchive737useruserpw1365451799978agroupod

Manually, we usually type:

Code:

Command.sh fix c3e2d840d4f3f3d74040404040404040cb2ef4e62f70f702

I have never done this type of scripting before. Can someonepoint me in the right direction of how I can manually script it so that I don’t have to manually fix the queues each message by message, sometimes there can be hundreds and it can be quite tedious. Thanks!

Drone crash in Nevada costs US Air Force nearly $10 million

Air Force officials say a series of errors led to the crash of an unmanned drone aircraft in December in a remote area north of Las Vegas.

A report released Tuesday says the pilot didn’t properly execute a preflight checklist before taking control of the drone, which stalled and crashed Dec. 5 in Douglas County near Mount Irish.

Nobody was injured in the crash, but the loss of the drone and artillery on board was estimated at $9.6 million.

Nellis Air Force Base officials say the MQ-9 Reaper aircraft was being used in an Air Force weapons school combat training mission. It was assigned to the 57th Wing at the base.

A Nellis spokeswoman said it wasn’t immediately clear Tuesday morning whether anyone has been disciplined for the mishap.

Iran Plane Pursued U.S. Spy Drone, Pentagon Says

By The Huffington Post News Editors

WASHINGTON — An Iranian fighter jet approached a U.S. surveillance drone over the Persian Gulf but broke off its pursuit after the pilot of a U.S. escort plane radioed a verbal warning, the Pentagon said Thursday.

Pentagon press secretary George Little said the incident occurred Tuesday and that the unarmed MQ-1 Predator surveillance drone as well as two U.S. military escort planes remained over international waters at all times.

Pentagon Awards Northrop $71.6 Million UAV Contract

By Rich Smith, The Motley Fool

Filed under:

On Monday, the Department of Defense awarded Northrop Grumman a $71.6 million modification to a previously awarded contract to modify and deliver six vertical take-off and landing tactical unmanned aerial vehicles (VTUAV) and seven ground control stations to the U.S. Navy “in support of the VTUAV endurance upgrade rapid deployment capability effort.”

The Pentagon’s announcement does not make clear whether it refers to Northrop’s already-in-service MQ-8B Fire Scout VTUAV, or to the expected upgrade to a new MQ-8C “Fire-X” configuration, which is being developed to arm the Fire Scout with Griffin and Hellfire missiles, as well as APKWS II guided rockets.

However, since the contract modification sets a September 2014 completion date — and the Fire-X is expected to enter service in 2014 — combined with the contract’s specification that Northrop is to “modify” the VTUAV before delivering it, one might conclude this may indeed be a Fire-X delivery contract.

How to remove listing of current user cmd from ps -ef listing?

By KDMishra

Hi All,

Could you please help to resolve my following issues:

Problem Description:

Suppose my user name is “MI90”.
i.e. $USER = MI90

when i run below command, i get all the processes running on the system containing name MQ.

ps -ef | grep MQ

But sometimes it lists “grep MQ” cmd also in its output, which is nothing but the above cmd which i executed to check all the running processes of system.
& sometimes not.

NEED:

My need is that it should always avoid listing “grep MQ“, which has been started just now by the current user i.e. MI90

Examples:

when i run $ ps -ef | gre MQ

i got :

MI90 36241614 36110452 0 05:41:31 pts/2 0:00 grep MQ
tibco 38535330 1 0 02:05:18 – 0:11 /appl/tibco/adapter/admqs/6 .2/bin/admqs –pid –run –propFile /appl/tibco/tra/domain/PR/application/MQAdap ter/MQAdapter-ABNAMROMQAdapter.tra –innerProcess
tibco 38797444 1 1 02:05:18 – 0:11 /appl/tibco/adapter/admqs/6 .2/bin/admqs –pid –run –propFile /appl/tibco/tra/domain/PR/application/MQAdap terNew/MQAdapterNew-ABNAMROMQAdapterNew.tra –innerProcess

but i always need only below:

tibco 38535330 1 0 02:05:18 – 0:11 /appl/tibco/adapter/admqs/6 .2/bin/admqs –pid –run –propFile /appl/tibco/tra/domain/PR/application/MQAdap ter/MQAdapter-ABNAMROMQAdapter.tra –innerProcess
tibco 38797444 1 1 02:05:18 – 0:11 /appl/tibco/adapter/admqs/6 .2/bin/admqs –pid –run –propFile /appl/tibco/tra/domain/PR/application/MQAdap terNew/MQAdapterNew-ABNAMROMQAdapterNew.tra –innerProcess

So please help me in getting such o/p….

Thanks in advance!
Regards,
KD
