By Alicia Jessop, Contributor Super Bowl Media Day has been described by some as a “circus.”  And that is for good reason.  Earlier today, over 3,000 members of the media descended upon the Superdome field to interview San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens players.  As if 3,000 members of the media being in one place isn’t enough to make something a circus, there was more.  Grown men wore capes.  One guy, dressed as what can only be described as a viking costume, claimed that he was representing restaurant chain Hooter’s and gave a moving speech about finding inner-peace.  Reporters from Mexico asked players to recite lines in Spanish while one snarky reporter demanded that every offensive lineman say something “offensive.”  And of course, there was Brent Musburger‘s favorite girlfriend of an Alabama quarterback, Katherine Webb, reporting for Entertainment Tonight and drawing more interviews for herself than the amount drawn by some players.
