Jake Gyllenhaal’s Performance of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby Now Available as an Audio Download at Audible.com

NEWARK, N.J.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Audible Studios, the production arm of Audible.com, today announced the publication of Jake Gyllenhaal‘s masterful audio interpretation of F. Scott Fitzgerald‘s preeminent novel, The Great Gatsby. The release marks the first audiobook performance by Academy Award nominee Gyllenhaal, and the first of Audible Studios‘ series of definitive recordings of the Fitzgerald canon in association with the Fitzgerald Estate. Forthcoming audio editions will include Tender is the Night and The Love of the Last Tycoon as well as other works of fiction.

Baz Luhrmann‘s much-anticipated film version of The Great Gatsby will open this year’s 66th annual Cannes Film Festival and will be released nationwide May 10.

Audible will announce its casting choice for Tender is the Night shortly.

On Tuesday, our favorite “Perks Of Being A Wallflower” and “Harry Potter” actress, Emma Watson, got her very own wax figure at the famous Madame Tussauds wax museum in London. “Fake Emma” stands alongside older, famous faces like Kate Winslet and Helen Mirren, but she also joins a growing group of much younger celeb life-size wax statues.

Justin Bieber, for example, made a splash when he came face-to-face with his own wax statue in March 2011, and it’s been reported that One Direction was fitted for their own set of wax figures, set to appear in London in April.
