THE FACTS: Mike Conley scored 22 points and dished out nine assists, helping the Memphis Grizzlies hold off a late charge from the Boston Celtics and escape the TD Garden with a 93-83 win. Rudy Gay added 19 points for the visitors in a balanced offensive effort featuring five players scoring double figures, which helped Memphis to build an 18-point lead early in the fourth quarter.

Notebook: Clippers 106, Celtics 77

THE FACTS: Looking to extend their franchise-best winning streak to 15 games, the Clippers took on the last NBA team to put together such a streak, the legendary Boston Celtics. L.A. didn’t bother easing itself into the game against the league’s most storied franchise, instead bolting to a double-digit lead after the first 4 ½ minutes Thursday night and never trailing in the in the 106-77 victory at Staples Center.

THE FACTS: The Milwaukee Bucks overcame a stunning late-game comeback in regulation, and 35 points from Paul Pierce to defeat the Boston Celtics 99-94 in overtime at the TD Garden. Monta Ellis bounced back from a 1-for-14 performance Wednesday night to finish with 27 points in the victory, as the Bucks recovered in overtime after surrendering a seven-point lead in the final 30 seconds of regulation.

THE FACTS: Paul Pierce exploded for a season-high 40 points, helping the Boston Celtics hold off the Cleveland Cavaliers for a 103-91 victory. The win also snapped a three-game losing streak for the Celtics. Boston led by as many as 20 in the third quarter behind the hot shooting of Pierce, who hit a scorching 13-for-16, to go along with eight rebounds and five assists.

Boston led by as many as eight points in the fourth quarter before Dallas closed the gap behind a balanced offensive attack led by O.J. Mayo (24 points) to force overtime. With both teams winded in overtime, Rajon Rondo (16 points, 15 assists, nine rebounds) helped take command in the closing moments, enabling Boston to escape with their second straight win. The Mavericks had their three-game winning streak snapped.
