Airgas Names William Sanborn Northern Pacific (Nor Pac) Region President
RADNOR, Pa.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Airgas, Inc. (NYS: ARG) today announced that William “Bill” Sanborn has been named president of the Airgas Northern Pacific (Nor Pac) region, reporting to Max Hooper, Airgas Western Division president. Sanborn replaces Edward Richards, who has taken another position within Airgas.

Sanborn recently served the Airgas North Central region as area vice president for Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula area of Michigan. He began his work career in 1975 as a Navy SEAL in air operations, intelligence, and as a master instructor. Sanborn left the military and began working for Boise Cascade Office Products in 1990 where he spent the next 12 years in progressively more responsible sales positions, including account executive and district sales manager positions. Following his tenure with Boise Cascade, Sanborn moved to Grainger Industrial Supply as district sales manager in 2002 and then joined Airgas in 2004 as a division sales manager for the North Central region. Sanborn was promoted to area vice president of the North Central region in 2009 and in 2012 he received the Airgas AVP of the Year award. He holds a BA degree and an MBA from National University.
