Announcing Our Second Backfires Brief Winner: Craig, Whose Hyundai Elantra Cover Shot Stole the Show

By Alexander Stoklosa

Backfires Briefs #2: Winner

We are pleased to announce the winner of our second Backfires Briefs contest, member crwpitman! His submission to the second Brief, in which we asked Backfires members to submit a cover-worthy photo of a car, not only garnered the most votes from his peers but was also the favorite among our art department staff. We less-artistic folks agreed, in case anyone was on the edge of their seat awaiting our opinion on things.

Of course, there was plenty of car porn for us to feast our eyes on with this second Brief, including James_Lee’s second-place shot of a Fiat 500, Brendon Davis’ third-place photo of a friend’s Bentley Continental Flying Spur, fourth-place finisher Chris Little’s Hyundai Veloster Turbo, and Pat Daly’s Type 64 Porsche which took fifth. You can click through to these excellent images below. As part of his reward for snagging best-photo bragging rights, crwpitman gets to have an album of his photography featured on our site!

We suggest taking some time to look at the rest of the entries, and then taking a stab at the newest Brief—coming Monday, but remember, you must be at least a level-four Backfires member (as denoted by the lightning bolts by your username) to participate. That said, any Backfires user can vote for their favorites with each brief—and we encourage you to do so!

And if you’re not a Backfires member yet, sign up here—what are you waiting for?
