HELP! Zone Programming DSC PC1555RKZ Keypad

By SMARTT3CH

Hi, I recently moved into a house that had a security system built-in. The alarm was disconnected and when I tried to reconnect for my own use, it was armed and counting down to its alarming. I have disconnected the Siren and used a resistor (there were 5 left in a baggie in the control panel from Ranger American) to block the terminal. I have reset the system to defaults and changed the master code to my linking. I am now in need of help for setting up the Zone attributes, my zones are setup as followed:

Zone 1: Garage and Front Door
Zone 2: Windows Downstairs
Zone 3: Patio
Zone 4: MBR (Master Bedroom) Windows
Zone 5: Upstairs Windows

*These are all at default values*
What I would like is for Zone 1 to be Delayed Entry/exit on Stay and AWAY.
Zone 5 to be Bypassed on STAY and Instant on AWAY.
Zone 3 to be delay on STAY and Instant on AWAY.
Zone 4 to be Instant on both Stay and Away.

Can you include the keypad combinations as well? (Noob)
How can I change the Delay to 15 seconds?

I am new at DIY Security Systems so all help is greatly appreciated. 🙂

Screen saver mode at work

By samnyc

Hi,

At work, the PC Windows 7 goes to screen saver mode after 10 minutes. I don’t have access to change that. It’s grayed out for me. After 10 minutes, the IM will say ” AWAY” and my email status will say ” AWAY “. Email and IM both are from Microsoft.

My question is there any work around such as some software which will not enable the screensaver.

Thanks

Yes! Once Again, Battery Problems On Apple's iOS Update

By Tim Worstall, Contributor This is becoming something of a meme. It’s at least the third time in a row that this has happened: an update to Apple’s iOS leads to users complaining of deteriorating battery life. Except this time we also seem to be getting reports of phones running hot as well. Try this complaint in the Apple forums: 1) I deleted ALL Exchange accounts on my phone.  The overheating and battery consumption went AWAY within 5 minutes.  I left the phone like that for about 3 hours. …read more
