Syfy has announced they are launching a new anthology horror series from Django Unchained star Jamie Foxx. Foxx will serve as executive producer and one of the writers on the currently untitled series, which launches in October with a five-episode run.

At their Upfront event this week, the network also revealed several new projects in development, including No Place, from Robert Zemeckis (Back to the Future, Forrest Gump) about a high-tech community cut off from the rest of reality; High Moon, from Bryan Fuller (Pushing Daisies, Hannibal) about Earth establishing colonies to mine the Moon’s resources and discovering a new form of life; and Clandestine, from The Walking Dead’s Gale Anne Hurd, about a group of spacefaring bandits who pose as Coalition officers while continuing their criminal ways.
