‘Doctor Who’: Zygons Return In 50th Anniversary Special

“Doctor Who” is bringing back the Zygons. The shape-shifters will appear in the 50th anniversary special.

According to BBC, aside from flashbacks, Zygons have only appeared more than 30 years ago during the Fourth Doctor‘s adventure, “Terror of the Zygons.”

In addition to the Zygons, the 50th anniversary special is bringing back Billie Piper and David Tennant. Yes, Rose and Ten are coming back. Current “Doctor Who” stars Matt Smith and Jenna-Louise Coleman along with John Hurt and Joanna Page will also star in the 50th anniversary special.

The Rock's Hercules Lands McShane

Did you know Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is making a Hercules movie with Brett Ratner? Because he’s not too busy reviving franchises and wrestling and palling around with Navy SEALs…

Anyway, now the myth-based picture has gained a couple of actors who have surely been touched by the gods: Ian McShane and John Hurt. In perhaps less godly news, Aksel Hennie, Rufus Sewell, Joseph Fiennes and Rebecca Ferguson have also been recently cast in the film, which is said to be “taking a more grounded approach to the classic Greek hero and ditches the supernatural. Hercules is portrayed not as the son of Zeus but rather as a mortal with a fearsome reputation. He leads a team of mercenaries on a job where all is ominously not what it appears.” I wonder if he’ll still kill his children in a fit of madness though? Does that work for a PG-13?
