From Concept to Reality: Striking Sketches of Beyonce's Designer Tour Costumes

Megawatt divas were turning to high-end fashion houses for their tour wardrobes long before Beyonce’s Mrs. Carter Show. But the singer, who embarked on her latest international tour yesterday, has so far worked with not just one brand, but three.

Pucci‘s Peter Dundas made at least six costumes for the singer, calling her “a true icon,” and adding that “doing the costumes for her show was a privilege for me and for Emilio Pucci.” Stuart Weitzman created shoes for her to dance in. Both brands released sketches of their custom creations, and Dsquared2‘s Dean and Dan Caten announced that they were happy to create a piece from her tour wardrobe, too.

There’s been a lot of buzz about the fashion for Beyoncé‘s Mrs. Carter Show World Tour, so we all waited patiently for photos to roll in after she kicked off her first concert in Serbia last night. But we don’t think anyone was prepared for the style stunt Bey pulled.

In one of her many changes of the night, the “Single Ladies” singer hit the stage in a gold bodysuit, complete with faux breasts and protruding nipples. It was certainly a shocking look — seriously, Beyoncé effectively put Madonna’s infamous Jean-Paul Gaultier cone bra to shame.

We followed as fashion houses scrambled to design concert duds for the new face of H&M, but Julien Macdonald was the lucky designer to adorn Bey with this cheeky look (think it’s a nod to J-Lo’s on-stage nip slips?). Emilio Pucci, Dsquared2, Ralph and Russo and Stuart Weitzman also created bespoke pieces for the tour.

Selena Gomez Visits David Letterman In A Very Leggy Dress (PHOTOS)

Selena Gomez is blowing us away these days with her killer style … most of the time. The “Spring Breakers” star paid a visit to “Late Night With David Letterman” on Monday in a dress that didn’t leave much to the imagination.

Justin Bieber’s ex-girlfriend (that’s what she is these days, right?) stepped out in New York City wearing a short, sequined dress from Emilio Pucci, paired with black pumps and a tailored jacket. It’s worth noting that the former Disney Channel star went bare-legged and it was roughly 25 degrees. While we won’t take issue with that (we bet the walk from her heated car to the studio was a short one), we will have to question her very short hemline and lined keyhole.

Her minidress calls to mind the kind of dresses that Carrie Underwood and Blake Lively like to wear: dresses so short they could double as shirts. We understand the urge to show off gorgeous gams, but we encourage ladies to cover up on top when choosing such short hemlines to avoid showing off too much. Selena did cover up, but the illusion of a keyhole has us distracted and we can’t decide where to direct our attention.
